Nikki is a second-year fashion design student at Lasalle College with a keen nose for finding awesome stuff at thrift-stores or garage sales, a talent often met with bitter jealousy by her younger sister, Nadine, who knows Nikki will always get there first. Her favourite designers are Alexander McQueen, Vera Wang, Yves St-Laurent, Gauthier, Dior, and despite being Jewish, she also can't help but admire John Galliano. Nikki loves cats, spicy food and My Little Pony. Often described as "eccentric" "weird" "crazy" "cat-lady," Nikki applies all of these qualities into her fashion choices. Well, maybe not "cat-lady"
Jenn
Jenn is an aspiring cake decorator with a background in commercial illustration, a fashionista on a budget and somewhat of a cosmetics addict. She's been thrift shopping all her life and with her mom and now, with her girlfriends! She loves fine tailoring and luxurious fabrics but doesn't like the idea of her clothes being made in un-humanitarian or environmentally damaging conditions. She tries as much as possible to shop local designers and from company's who are known to look out for the well being of their employees and the environment. Her exception to this is second-hand shopping because regardless of origin, the clothes and accessories have been donated, the proceeds go to charities or local small-businesses, it's affordable, keeps clothing out of landfills (occasionally makes her closet look like one though...), and it's SO MUCH FUN!
Nadine
A recent philosophy grad, Nadine uses her acquired argumentative skills to persuade Nikki that all of Nikki's clothes are too big and would look so much nicer on her "sweet and adorable" younger sister. Fashion role models include Audrey Hepburn, Lady Gaga, and anything "Skin-sy" (i.e. would be worn on the U.K. television show "Skins").
